Aesthetic Dermatology & Skin Care Technician

This 20-hour course includes training in Laser IPL, Diode laser, and Nd:YAG laser, covering both hair removal and skin rejuvenation applications. Students learn laser operation, safety protocols, contraindications, and proper parameter settings. These laser modules are combined with training in microdermabrasion, Hydra facial, microneedling, chemical peels, body contouring, and HIFU for a well-rounded aesthetic education.

The Aesthetic Dermatology & Skin Care course is a 20-hour program priced at $4,000 that covers 10 core treatments including three laser platforms (IPL, Diode, Nd:YAG). The Advanced program is 40 hours at $7,750 and adds CO2 fractional laser, Fotona 4D, Fractional RF, plasma pen, mole removal, melasma protocols, and cold body sculpting. Both are offered at BC Medical Clinic in Coquitlam.

Yes, no prior experience is required and beginners are welcome. The curriculum is structured to build knowledge progressively, starting with skin anatomy, ingredient science, and skin assessment before moving to hands-on treatment training. You only need to be 18 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID to enrol at our Coquitlam, BC campus.

Graduates receive an Aesthetic Dermatology & Skin Care Technician Certificate from BC Medical Clinic, Canadian College of Aesthetic Dermatology. This certificate validates your proficiency in laser treatments, microdermabrasion, Hydra facial, microneedling, chemical peels, body contouring, and HIFU — preparing you for employment at aesthetic clinics and medical spas across British Columbia and Canada.

The total cost is $4,000, which includes $3,850 in tuition and $150 in fees. This covers 20 hours of training across ten core aesthetic treatments, including laser, microdermabrasion, Hydra facial, microneedling, chemical peels, and body contouring. All training takes place at BC Medical Clinic in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
